Norwich Amiga Group

First established in March 2017, Norwich Amiga Group (NAG) has regular meet up events at Albion Games Café (Formerly One Life Left Café).

So what exactly is an Amiga and what is NAG?

The Amiga is a computing marvel of the modern world, unfortunately lost due to bad decisions from Commodore back in 1994. Production of the Amiga computer ceased and eventually it became a computer of the past. Now some 30 years later, people are firing up these old machines and using them. As an example in 2021 Turbo Tomato was released, a new game playable on an Amiga using a 3.5” floppy disk! It is incredible to think that even after this much time has past, there are still people willing to write and design software and games on these systems. You can even buy AmigaOS 3.2, again released in 2021.

The Norwich Amiga Group gets people together to enjoy this marvellous computer system. There is nothing quite like playing some of the many old games like Cannon Fodder, Zool, Flashback, sensible Soccer just to name a few. Other people in the group even repair, code or modify their Amigas. There has never been a better to time to see a real A500, A600, A1200 working again. There has even been Amiga’s connected via parallel ports playing games on 2 systems in multiplayer!
